Ahhh...dessert...1L or 2?

Good morning everyone,

It was a cool ride home last night! I think I'm going to have to dig out my scarf-I thought I could hold off till I came back from my holiday, but after last night, I don't think I'll be able to.

I was reading in the paper that desserts are getting bigger and bigger.

Apparently during Japan's post-war period of high-speed economic growth, there was a commercial jingle for chocolate that declared: "The bigger the better." It was a phrase that, in a way, represented the exhilaration that came from Japan's rising prosperity and its claim to the world's second highest GNP.

Having experienced a long-term economic slump, however, the Japanese public today is focused on pinching pennies. This penny-pinching means that people often repress their desires for things they want as they feel they can't afford them or worry about feeling guilty for spending money. These desires sometimes manifest themselves in eating their fill of something they find delicious.

While I like creme caramel (it's the English name for 'purin'), I prefer creme brulee. However, if I was going to eat a giant dessert I'd choose...hmmm...I have no idea...how about you?
