That was a first for me...

Good morning everyone,

Well, the roads will be wet this morning but the rain has stopped. Today and tomorrow we'll see the sun and highs of around 12C or 13C. Sounds fantastic! After that the weather for the next week is just plain weird. It'll be a mix of rain and cloud all week with very warm temperatures. In fact, next Monday they are calling for a low, that's right-a LOW of 10C and a high of 16C. It looks like we may bypass spring altogether this year! ha ha!

So, I mentioned in yesterday's blog that I was thinking about going to see Underworld:Awakenings and apparently I was the only person in Hiroshima who was...that's right-I went to the cinema at Al Park and I was the only person sitting in a 200-seat theatre! It was a little strange, a little fun and a little lonely...ha ha! That has never happened to me before! I kept waiting for the staff to come in and tell me that I was in the wrong theatre or something! Ha ha!

As for the movie itself, it was ok. No better or worse than the first three in the franchise. If you go to any of these type of movies looking for a plot or Academy-worthy performances, you will always be disappointed. While waiting for the movie to start, they showed some trailers for upcoming films, including the next Biohazard film which is just another movie with a beautiful woman running around in sexy clothes killing monsters and I will definitely go see that one as well! ha ha!

The movie was also in 3D-which if you've read my blog in the past, you'll know that I hate it. I still hate it, but the glasses are lighter now and my eyes didn't get as tired as they did in last year's 3D movies. However, if there is ever any choice between seeing the movie in good, old-fashioned 2D or new, high-tech 3D, well, I'll always be choosing the 2D version. In fact, if more and more movies insist on being available in only 3D, I may find myself going to fewer and fewer movies in the cinema...that would suck!

There was a fair bit more violence than I remember being in the earlier films and at times it seemed to look more like a video game than a movie, but it was good fun. It had some unique fighting scenes. It had lots of vampires and werewolves.  It wasn't too long. It had Kate Beckinsale in black leather. ;-) All in all, I have to say that I enjoyed it.

Have a great day!
