I'm glad I went!

Good morning everyone,

I don't about all day, but it's pouring out there at the moment...it's looking like it'll keep raining for most of the morning, although it doesn't look like it'll be that heavy. Tomorrow is looking like we'll see some sun and then it's back to a chance of rain again for Saturday before we see sunny weather again from Sunday. Hopefully that sunny weather will last for a while...

So, it's September 4th and I went to a beer garden last night for the first time this year! I'm glad I went for a few reasons...

The first and foremost was that I had a really good time. It was my first time to go out with that particular group of students and it was very relaxed...I wonder why...of course I felt a bit like I was still working, but it wasn't stressful at all...actually, to be honest, I think it was because there were 4 other men there. I never realized how tiring it was going out with a group of women by myself, I really need a wingman! Ha ha!

But there were a couple of other reasons too...of course I would hate to have a summer go by without having gone to a beer garden! A beer garden, with it's marginally good food, overcrowded rooftops, cheap plastic tables and cold beer is what summer is all about! Well, now that I think about it, why do I like them? Ha ha! It would be much more fun to have a bbq! Of course, having a bbq is a lot more work...

It was also to get out and have a beer for no reason. It was the first time I've been out since I got back to Japan, so that was fun...of course I'm also sleepy this morning...Zzzz!

Because I'm not that young anymore, I took it easy last night...I only had 4 glasses of beer...I was planning on going for a run this morning, but that's not going to happen in this rain...sigh!

Actually, the funny thing is that I didn't gain any weight when I was home, but I've gained about a kilogram since I got back. I've only gone out for a run once or twice since I got back...today was supposed to be the day when I got back into the swing of things-with running and guitar. I'll practice guitar, but running...hmmm...I'm not ready to go out in the pouring rain yet...if I keep getting bad weather on my running days, I might have to though...I need to shave off a kilo or two before my next race! Ha ha!

Have a great day!

PS I'm thinking of heading to the Oktoberfest Party at the old baseball stadium for a beer on the 15th. It's a holiday Monday, so we could go in the mid-afternoon and hang out for an hour or so...it's a pay-as-you-go system so you can stay for as little or as long as you like and spend as much or as little as you like too. What do you think?
