The batte against blackheads.

Good morning everyone,

I haven't stepped outside yet, but according to the weatherman, it's about 5C or 6C cooler than yesterday. Where in the heck did I put my long johns?! The highs for the rest of the week will be normal for this time of year-around 17C, but the lows will 2C or 3C below normal. Normal overnight lows for mid-November are around 9C. They're still calling for rain on Monday and cloudy skies on Tuesday, but otherwise it'll be mostly sunny.

Have you ever tried those Biore Pore Strips?

They help clean out the pores on your nose (or other parts of your face).  Our bodies release an oil called sebum which is supposed to protect our skin and keep it smooth (How long do you think it'll be before we see 'sepum' supplements? Ha ha!) Anyway, sometimes the sepum gets stuck behind dead skin and clogs our pores and this causes (well, it's one of the causes of) acne. Blackheads are a type of acne and the black colour is caused by the bacteria's reaction to oxygen.

That all sounds a bit too scientific for me! ha ha! But I tried it anyway-and the pore strip was so disgusting after I took it off! It looked like a hundred little black hairs were stuck to it. Those aren't hairs, they're blackheads! Before I did it, I didn't think my nose looked that bad, but apparently it was covered in blackheads-especially along the sides of my nose. It was really gross!
And the outside of my nose feels really soft and smooth now! It's not the most manly of things to do, but I have to say that if you've never tried it, you should! Here's an image I found online of a before and after picture. I'm not sure if my nose is that much smoother, but it certainly feels like it!

Now I only need to figure out how to get the rest of my face looking better! ha ha!

Have a great day!
