Need motivation...

Good morning everyone,

That was a bit cooler yesterday, wasn't it? But, to be honest, it wasn't as cool as I was expecting. We'll see how I feel tomorrow morning when I head out for a run...I may change my tune! Ha ha! There's no real change in the forecast-cool mornings and nice afternoons and a chance of rain on Monday. That's about it. I just hope it doesn't rain too much, I'm hoping to head out for a run on Tuesday morning and if there's a lot of rain on Monday, I won't be able to go along the river (it gets too muddy).

Do you ever those days when you just can't get going?

I've got a list of things I need to do that's longer than my arm, but I just can't get started. I need a pick-me-up. Maybe I should try a can of Red Bull. Have you ever tried it? Personally, I think it's a little overrated. If I need a jolt of energy, my go-to drink is Ripobitan (?). It's great! I wish we had it back home! It would have helped me get through university! Ha ha!

But, it isn't that I don't have any energy, it's just that there's almost too much stuff on my plate. I don't know where to start! Ha ha! Then, I end up procrastinating and the list gets longer and I feel more overwhelmed and have less motivation to get going...and it just snowballs after that (when something snowballs, it gets bigger and bigger by weakening the yen) and it takes even more energy to dig through the pile of stuff on your plate.

So, how do you do it? Well, for me. I do things one at a time. It may not be the most efficient, it may not be the sexiest, or coolest way, but I'm the kind of guy who believes that if you just put one foot in front of the other and do that 33,000 times and, guess what!?, you've just finished a marathon!

Well, I won't be running a marathon today, but I will be going out for a 16km run after this and then I'll be heading to work to plow through the list of things to do! One at a time!

Have a great day!
