Hanging up the axe...

Good morning Hiroshima!

Well, I'm not sure about you, but it's pretty chilly outside this morning. It's supposed to get up to 16C at some point today, but I'm finding it hard to believe right now. Tomorrow won't be too bad with a high of 12C, but unfortunately it's looking more and more like it'll rain at some point on Monday. Then on Tuesday, we welcome back winter with a high of only 5C and lows on both Tuesday and Wednesday around 0C. Luckily, it'll warm back up by the end of the week.

With the consulting job taking a bit more time (and requiring me to do a lot more work than just consult), I've decided to stop taking guitar lessons for a while...

Ok...so that may be just my excuse, but it's a pretty good one! The main reason is that I'm a bad student. I just don't have the natural ability to pick it up quickly or the drive to practice hard until I do pick it up. You need one or the other if you're going to learn something new, right?

I guess it's the same with learning English. Some people are naturally good at languages and some people are naturally tenacious (and have the time to put into it) and some, very, very few people have natural talent and a great work ethic! Those people are able to, not only learn new things, but do them very well.

I'm pretty sure I fall into the category with neither the talent nor the stubbornness to keep going! Ha ha! Actually, I take that back. I know in my heart that I'm not done with guitars-I will never give up! It's just that for the next few months, it has to take a back seat to other things in my life.

So, if you're one of those people who has put aside something and have been wondering when to start it up again, there's no time like the present!

Have a great day!

PS I'm off to Fukuyama to run a 10k race today! Wish me luck!
