Back to work

Good morning everyone,

We've got two more days of above average temperatures before they plummet on Thursday. The average for this time of year is around 10C. We've been enjoying spring-like temperatures for the longest time, so that when they fell down to even the average, it felt cold. From Thursday and all the way through the weekend and into next week, they are calling for daytime highs of only 8C! You'd better enjoy these last two days of warm(ish) weather while you can. Today is going to be overcast, but there is no rain expected in the upcoming few days.

I'm back to work today after a really long and lazy break. It's been so long, I hope I don't get lost on the way to work...ha ha!

I'm guessing that I'm going to be feeling pretty tired by the end of the week. But to be honest, I was ready to get back to work a couple of days ago. I was getting a bit bored at home.

It's not like I didn't do anything during my holiday, but I certainly didn't do as much as I could have. I basically did enough cleaning and exercise so that I wouldn't feel guilty about doing 'nothing'. But I easily could have done a lot more...I'll do it next holiday...ha ha!

How about you? Did you have a busy holiday? A quiet one?

The good thing about having a quiet holiday is that I didn't spend much money. The only thing I bought was a sweater from Uniqlo-and it was 50% off!

Did I mention that I went to Honoyu? To be honest, I would have liked to have gone to a real hot spring, but after having sold my car a couple of years it just seemed like too much of a hassle to get anywhere. I guess I should find a friend who has a car and a lot of free time (and who doesn't mind driving me around), eh? But Honoyu was pretty good actually. It wasn't nearly as crowded as I feared it would be. To be honest, when I went there, it was pretty busy, but all of the men were crowded around the one outdoor bath that was showing the Hakone Ekiden on tv. Most of the other places to soak were half-empty and I could relax.

And now I'm ready to put my nose back to the grindstone...yes, that means that I didn't win the New Year's Jumbo lottery...(sigh) If any of you did, I expect a big tip the next time I see you! Ha ha!

Have a great day!
