It's gonna' be a hot one!

Good morning everyone,

The good news is that there is no rain forecast for the next couple of days, but it is rainy season after all, so the weather could change at a moment's notice.

The bad news is that they are calling for hotter than usual weather this summer. I don't know about you, but I don't know if I can handle temperatures any hotter than usual.

But, it's official...the Japan Meteorological Agency has announced its three-month forecast from the month of June until August. This summer, western Japan, in particular, will be hit by an intense heat wave, the agency said.

According to the agency, the El Nino phenomenon will cause a change in the atmospheric pressure over the Pacific Ocean and lead to warm air concentrating in western Japan this summer. Eastern Japan will also experience higher than average temperatures, the agency said. Furthermore, the weather agency has issued a heatstroke warning earlier than previous years.

Under the influence of warm and moist air currents, rain, however, is predicted to be average, excluding Okinawa and the Amami region.

So, just to sum up the report from the Japan Meteorological's going to be hotter than usual everywhere in Japan, but western Japan will be especially hotter than usual? Great! <--that's me being sarcastic again.

Have a great day! I'll be spending the day cleaning out my air conditioners and digging fans out of my closet.
