My annual check-up

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday didn't rain, which was nice...but it was really hot, wasn't hot? I had to turn on my a/c for a few hours in the middle of the day to survive. Today is supposed to be a mix of sun and clouds and it'll be hot again. Tomorrow and Wednesday are difficult to predict-there's a typhoon headed our way and it just depends on what route it takes. It's a pretty strong one, so you should keep an eye on it...who knows? This one may actually hit us...

It's that time of year again...time for me to dread my annual check-up. It's weird, don't you think? I'm a reasonably healthy person with no history of medical conditions or anything that runs in the family. So, you'd think I wouldn't care, would you? Well, I wouldn't if it wasn't for the barium swallow. I don't mind drinking the's not good, but it isn't that bad. I just hate the stress of trying to understand what the heck the staff is trying to tell me to do while lying on that contraption.

Last year was the first time I had a guy telling me what to do and hopefully he'll be there again this year. He was so easy to understand...the first two years it sounded like they were using technology from the 1800s...

Then, of course, there's the feeling in my gut of having just poured about 350mL of radiation down it...that can never be good, can it? Actually, I'm not sure what plan I use, but if there's some way that I can continue doing everything else without the barium swallow, I'll be doing that next time.

Wish me luck!

Have a great day!
