Is it possible? Has rainy season-part 2 finally come to an end? It looks like it. We can expect sunny weather today and every day for the rest of the week and it looks like the worst of the humidity has broken too. Today will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 26C. The rest of the week will see highs between 22C and 24C. I guess I might have to put my sandals away...
But I'll still be sleeping naked tonight-and so should you. Here's why:
It'll help you de-stress.
According to some doctors, sleeping naked lowers cortisol — known as the "stress hormone" — as cortisol secretion is activated when you're feeling under pressure. When your body is truly resting and recuperating (between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.) is when cortisol is at its lowest.
You'll sleep better.
When you sleep, your body temperature naturally declines as part of your circadian rhythm as you sleep deeply. Sleeping in clothes or PJs can disrupt this, so ditch the clothes and nod off in the nude.
It's good for your vagina.
Giving your vagina some air is actually a really good idea. Tight underwear, sweaty workouts, and keeping it covered in clothes all the time is not a good idea. Let it be free once in a while, and what better time than while you sleep? I don't think this one will work for me...ha ha!
It could strengthen your relationship.
If you share a bed, the pair of you sleeping naked is a no-brainer way to increase intimacy — and something that has a high chance of leading to sex, if both of you are in the buff. That is never a bad thing, is it?
It'll keep you looking fresh.
Naturopaths say that being too warm at night can disrupt the release of melatonin and anti-ageing hormones into your body. As ditching the clothes will regulate your body temperature, the hormone release should be regulated too-meaning you'll feel and look younger!
Well, I don't know about you, but based on that information, it's better to be naked as much as you can be. I might just start walking around the house naked too! Ok...maybe not...
