Good morning everyone,

Did you have a good sleep last night? I did. It was nice and cool. And it's supposed to remain that way for the next week or so...highs in the low to mid 20s and overnight lows in the mid teens. That's pretty much perfect weather for me...

Are you a Carp fan? Well, I think everyone in Hiroshima is these days. Or if they're not, they're keeping quiet about it. We're two days away from the start of the Final Stage of the Climax Series. Our local heroes (meaning the members of the Carp) clinched the Central League pennant weeks ago (like more than a month). Which means that they've been sitting around (actually, I hope they've been practicing a bit...ha ha!) waiting for the winner of the first stage of the Climax Series. And we've all been waiting too...

Anyway, I was hoping to pick up some Carp goods to support the local team, but everything at the shops is pretty much gone. I went to the Carp shop in Fukuya just after they'd won the pennant and the shelves were pretty much empty. Are you like me? Did you miss out on buying some Carp stuff to cheer them on over the next few weeks. I guess we could check out the Carp store at the stadium...or if you want to get something a little about some special collaborative goods?

I've seen two recently that piqued my interest...let me know what you think?

These very cool limited edition Hiroshima Carp Vans sneakers are only available at the ABC-Mart in the PARCO Department Store in downtown Hiroshima. The laceless slip-ons, which feature the much-loved “Carp Boya” mascot on the upper and a white “C” for Carp on the heel were commissioned to commemorate the Carp’s first Central League championship since 1991.

Or...if they're like the tickets for the playoff games, which sold out in 10 minutes and are, therefore, already gone maybe I could pick up a pair of these matching his and hers Carp underwear.
I just need to find someone to share them with...

What do you think?

Have a great day!
