New Haagen-Dazs flavour...Nov 2016 Version

Good morning everyone,

Did you survive the last two days? It was pretty cold, wasn't it? The good news is that this weekend is going to be much warmer. It'll get up to 18C today and on Sunday the high is expected to be somewhere around 21C. There may be some rain on Monday, but the whole week will be much warmer than the last two days have been.

With the warmer weather, it might be a good time to try Haagen-Dazs newest flavours.

Häagen-Dazs Japan is known for bringing out some awesome limited-edition flavours like purple sweet potato, salty vanilla, and Japanese-themed delights filled with adzuki red beans. Their latest release aims to raise the bar yet again, with a new series called “Decorations”, which puts a crunchy, cookie-laden layer on top of their signature rich and creamy ice creams.

Released on 8 November, the two new ice creams feature differently coloured toppings, with the Cheese Berry Cookie looking enticingly pink, and the Banana Caramel Cookie looking not-so-enticingly brown. Unfortunately, when it’s frozen, the brown-and-white coloured topping actually looks less like a sweet dessert and more mabo-dofu.

You can bet that I'm going to try these for sure. But, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of the crunchiness of cookies together with creamy ice cream. I like my ice cream...well...creamy. I don't mind the odd piece of fruit in it, but the crunchy cookie doesn't go well with ice cream in my opinion. I'll try these and let you know if Haagen-Dazs can change my mind. Because if any ice cream maker can make me change my mind, it's Haagen-Dazs...ha ha!
