Ab roller...exercise or torture?

Good morning everyone,

It's looking like today is going to be a nice one. It's supposed to get up to around 15C with mostly sunny skies and tomorrow isn't looking too bad either. It'll get up to 16C, but it's looking like it's going to be cloudier than today. The middle of the week will be cooler with daytime highs between 10C and 12C and then it'll start warming up again for next weekend.

Like most people, I'm in a constant battle with the bulge...that means parts of my body are bulging where I don't want them to...mostly around my mid-section, which is a big problem for men. Women tend to gain weight around their thighs and hips first, but everyone is different.

For me, it's my stomach. I run, I lift weights and I still have a little excess weight around my belly. It's not like I don't know why...I love eating and I have a sit-down job--those two things don't help me at all in this ongoing battle.

So, I bought an Ab roller.
In case you're wondering, yes, that is actually my body...I just photo-shopped some guys head on it for privacy reasons...ha ha!

Well, technically there's only one 'ab roller', because that name is patented. So I bought an ab training wheel...the no-name one is a lot cheaper.

I've had it for 3 days and used it every day so far, and it hurts like hell. They say that you're supposed to try and do it for a minute a day every day and so far, so good. It really burns when you're doing the workout...so is it working? I have no idea and it's way too early to tell, but my abs are killing me. That's a good sign, right? If it is, at this rate, I'll have a six-pack in a week...ok, maybe not. But it does seem to be working.

I'll let you know in about 3 weeks whether it actually works or not...as of right now, I'm leaning towards calling it a torture device. If it actually helps me build abs within the next month or so, I'll change my tune. Has anyone else tried it? Could you stick with it? Did it work for you?

Have a great day!
