Dehydrated...whew!

Good morning everyone,

Well, it looks like Typhoon #5 is finally moving around and there's a chance that we may see some rain from it this Sunday and Monday. It's still a bit far away to say for sure, but it's worth keeping an eye-especially if you have plans this weekend. Otherwise, it's going to be hot, sunny and 34C everyday.

So, do you ever bite your tongue when you're eating?

I never do...or I never did until a week or so ago. Then, suddenly I bit my tongue like 3 or 4 times in a matter of days. I was wondering what was wrong with me?!

I thought that biting my tongue was a sign of early onset Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. I was scouring the internet for what it was that I was dying of...

As it turns out I wasn't dying after all...well, not any more than usual. I was just dehydrated. Yep. It's true. When you get dehydrated, the amount of saliva in your mouth decreases which means your mouth is less lubricated. And therefore, it's more difficult for your tongue to slide out of the way when you're chewing on your food.

So, if you bite your tongue, don't worry. You're not dying. You just need to drink a bit more water...ha ha!

Have a great day!
