Being lazy in Obon

Good morning everyone,

It's looking we can expect hot, sunny weather for the next few days and then we may see some rain on Tuesday and Wednesday before the sun returns on Thursday.

Did any of you head out yesterday to climb a mountain to celebrate 'Mountain Day'? While I was sitting in my cool, air-conditioned living room I thought it would be a good idea...and then I stepped outside. That put an end to any mountain climbing plans...ha ha! So, what did I do?

Yesterday was spent just lazing around the house. I got messages from a couple of friends who wanted to meet up for a coffee or a beer, but I just didn't feel up to going out. In fact, I didn't feel like doing anything yesterday. I became very well acquainted with my couch and tv.

This morning, I'll head to the sports centre at Green Arena to go for a run (it's still too hot to run outside) and then after that I will head somewhere downtown for lunch. I'll probably head for the kaiten-sushi shop in the basement of Sogo (or is it in Aqua? Or the new Sogo wing? Or Pacela?) I have no idea which one it is technically under, but it's good and not overly pricey, so it's perfect for me.

Actually, it's getting a little too full of tourists for my taste...don't get me wrong. We need more tourists in Hiroshima and the small-minded people who complain about them need to open their eyes and their minds to all the good they bring to the city rather than focusing on the bad...but that's a rant for another day. I just don't like being treated like a tourist by the staff...ha ha!

Anyway, have a great day!
